Pros of Secretlab Omega Gaming Chair:
- Outstanding Build Quality: The Omega’s build quality is the only other point worth mentioning. The chair’s base is reinforced aluminum, it has a steel frame, and the hydraulic gas piston is rated for Class 4 heavy-duty. The Omega appears to be well-made in my opinion.
- Color Schemes, Upholsteries, and Multiple Styles to Choose: The Secretlab Omega is available in three upholstery options: PU Leather, Fabric, and genuine NAPA Leather. Several Special Editions of the Omega are also available.
- Comfortable Well-padded pillows: The memory foam cushion with the Omega is really nice to lean against for lumbar support. I believe the Omega is the most comfortable of the two.
- Adjustable 4D Armrests: The Secretlab Omega comes with excellent armrests that can be adjusted in four different ways to ensure proper fit.
- One Size Fits all: A very comfortable chair is built for smaller and larger people because of the seat height and other adjustable features. but durable enough to accommodate heavier people
- Neck Pillow: A velour head pillow is also included with the chair. It’s the similar kind of pillow that’s included with the Titan. It connects to the back of the seat and provides a very comfortable place to rest your head.
- Tilt Feature Enabled: When the tilt feature is turned off, the Omega may recline to a maximum of 165 degrees. The Omega’s tilt feature is also quite useful. You may unlock the chair at the base and then rock back and forth freely in it. The chair can also be locked in a slanted position.
- Up to 5-Year Extended Warranty: One more pro for the Omega is that when you join the Extended Warranty Program, you’ll get five years of warranty. For $50, you may extend your warranty from three to five years. Alternatively, when you share it in the public post of your Secretlab chair, you can obtain an additional 2 years of coverage for free.
Cons of Secretlab Omega Gaming Chair:
- The lumbar support pillow is comfortable; however, because it is not attached to the chair, it can slide down when changing the seat.
- Better suited for people shorter than or equal to 5’9″ (175 cm).
- Armrest padding feels a bit hard.
Comparisons Between Razer Enki and Secretlab Omega Gaming Chair:
1. Lumbar Support:
The chair’s lumbar support is one of the most important features to consider when purchasing a chair, despite the fact that it is sometimes overlooked by buyers. A chair’s lumbar support maintains the body’s neutral position.
It also maintains your spine aligned with the chair, which decreases muscle tension. As a result, you will feel comfortable and productive when sitting in the chair for an extended period of time. Both these chairs have excellent lumbar support.
In the case of Razer Enki, it gently bends your spine into an S shape and supports your lower back, the lumbar support keeps you in a neutral sitting position.
In Secretlab Omega’s case, it’s an example of the phrase “you get what you pay for.” I used to be able to sit on my old chair for less than an hour before my back began to suffer, but with this new one, I can work for the entire day.
With its comfortable lumbar support, wide seats, and 110-degree shoulder arches. It’s perfect for gamers.
Summary: When it comes to lumbar support, I think, Secretlab Omega’s lumbar support is slightly better than that Enki’s.
2. Design & Build Quality:
Razer decided to keep its practice of providing built-in lower back support in the Enki, as it did previously with the Iskur gaming chair’s attached but still external hanging pillow.
While the top half of the Enki is pretty straight, the lower half has a solid, extruded curvature that will be your lower back’s best friend. Once completed, the construction quality instills confidence in you. It’s very sturdy, with very little ‘rattle’ or wobble in any of the components.
The build quality instills confidence in you as well. It’s very sturdy, with very little ‘rattle’ or wobble in any of the components.
The Secretlab’s Omega holds up its own too. The chair has a broad seat, a slightly inclined design to support your back, and a pair of movable armrests in four orientations. Several levers beneath the seat allow you to modify the chair’s height and tilt settings.
The chair is quite silent. There are no loose bits banging around inside the chair as you move it or sit in it. The PU caster wheels are also smooth and won’t leave any marks on hard floors.
Summary: When it comes to design and build quality, I would say, it’s a tie. Design is totally a personal choice. And, both of these chairs are well built and will definitely last long.
3. Comfort:
The seat and back of the Enki are both solid, but with just enough plush to allow you to sink into them. Sitting on the Enki chair didn’t help with pain relief, but Razer’s main goal with this chair is to correct your posture so you can avoid the bad habits that caused my back troubles to begin with.
‘Reduce sitting fatigue with proper weight distribution,’ according to the built-in lumbar support of Enki and for the most part, I believe this concept works just fine.
On the other hand, Neck support and lower back pillows are included in each Secretlab Omega series gaming chair, making it extremely comfortable. At the same time, the seat and backrest are both surprisingly sturdy and provide excellent back support.
Fortunately, for a chair at this price and does a fantastic job of keeping your posture while you’re at your desk. You can, of course, set it up for a more casual stance as well.
Summary: In my opinion, Secretlab Omega gets an A in terms of comfort. On the other hand, the Enki gets a B or maybe B+.
3. Upholstery and Neck Pillow:
In terms of design, it’s impossible to please everyone but Secretlab’s gaming chairs come close by providing a choice of upholstery options in a number of patterns.
Secretlab Omega’s primary seat is made out of a PU leather-wrapped ‘cold-cure foam mix.’ It’s not too soft, but it has just enough give to put you in a comfortable position without requiring you to add a cushion to sit on.
In comparison to numerous PU chairs I’ve tried over the years, the leather’s matte texture is surprisingly cool in hotter weather.
Neck support and lower back pillows are included in each Secretlab Omega series gaming chair, making it extremely comfortable. At the same time, the seat and backrest are both surprisingly sturdy and provide excellent back support.
The Enki doesn’t fall behind either. It provides comfort with a softer seat base for a cushier sensation and a stiffer seat backing for sturdy support. It has those dual-textured, eco-friendly synthetic leather.
The chair’s core is covered in a soft textured fabric for further refinement, while the outer borders are coated with smooth leather to resist daily wear and tear.
It’s a fantastic gaming chair with great neck support, making it comfortable for long gaming sessions.
Summary: Both Enki and Omega have great upholstery and proper neck support.
4. Size & Weight Capacity:
Features | Razer Enki | Secretlab Omega |
Dimension | 26.79″ x 26.4″ W x 55.51″ H | 81.3 x 36.8 x 69.9 Centimeters |
Weight of the Chair | 53.2 pounds | 66 pounds |
Weight Capacity | 300 Pounds | 239 pounds |
Here, we have everything laid out nicely in a table so that it’s clear to understand the comparisons.
Summary: The razer Enki has a more weight limit than the Secretlab omega. So, if you are a bug guy, then going with Razer Enki is obviously the better choice.
5. Pricing
Chair | Price |
Secretlab Omega | $439 |
Razer Enki | $349.99 |
Various colors and designs are available for the Secretlab Omega and they have pretty sleek looks with so many different Official editions to choose from. You will find it in different sizes too so that you can find the one that fits you better. Check out this chair on the Secretlab website by clicking here.
On the other hand, the Razer Enki will cost you only $349.99 and will be available in Black and Green colors. Check them out by clicking here on Amazon.
It is not that the cheaper one will win here, but such facilities and adjustments at such a great price are rare.
I believe the Razer Enki is the clear winner here because it is a competitively priced chair with excellent ergonomic characteristics.
Warranty and Durability:
Secretlab Omega will get you a 3-year warranty which can be extended up to 5-years. On the other hand, the Enki gaming chair’s mechanisms and moving parts are covered by a 3-year warranty (not including wear and tear).
The best part is that Omega will provide you with a 49-day refund/return policy whereas Enki will give you 14-days, and within this time if you do not like them, you can just send the chair back. Omega gaming chairs offer a better deal here.
Is Secretlab Omega Better Than The Razer Enki?
So, the question is: which one is worth the money? The Enki Gaming Chair from Razer will set you back $399, which is a significant amount of money.
The gaming chair market is filled with options that range from varying levels of coolness, comfort, and nerdy flair that may delight everyone, but the majority of them aren’t in this price range.
The Enki, on the other hand, outperforms seats in this price range. But, The Secret Lab Omega chair, which was released two years ago, is the only chair that I think from my personal experience would be a strong challenger.
The Secretlab Omega is available in a variety of fabrics and color schemes, as well as being quite comfy. Depending on whatever design you prefer, you may have to wait a long time.
The Enki goes nicely with Razer’s other goods, but the Omega from Secret Lab goes with everything but has less flare than the Enki.
If it’s up to me I would suggest going for Razer Enki if you have other razer products or you can go with the Secretlab omega.
